Neighborhood Programs has a Vision for Auburn:
Auburn is a healthy, inclusive and engaged community where all residents have a love of place, a sense of belonging, and an ability to influence the future of the community.

The Mission of Neighborhood Programs is to build community by providing investments and programming that promote inclusive engagement, increase accessibility of local government and enhance community wellness.

Our Programs:

The Community Fund is our newest program that seeks to engage with communities who are underrepresented in programming. The City provides project management for a community-initiated and voted-on project that supports the community and promotes a healthy, inclusive, and engaged community. More details can be found on the program page.

The Community Matching Grant is a fund used to support resident initiated and led projects in their community. For more information, visit the program page.

National Night Out is a national event that happens on the first Tuesday in August each year. Here in Auburn, it's a night of neighborhood BBQs and potlucks with City staff out visiting. Visit the program page for more details.

Neighborhood Meetings: If residents are looking for information on topics concerning multiple City departments, contact Auburn's Neighborhood Programs Coordinator. They can help neighborhoods organize meetings between residents and City staff. The purpose of Neighborhood meetings is:

  • To hear what's going on in your neighborhood, what your concerns are and your ideas for solutions
  • To learn more about available City services and programs
  • To meet with multiple City representatives and departments including the Mayor, Police, Emergency Preparedness, Transportation and Community Development & Planning to discuss neighborhood safety and other issues of concern

How to have a Neighborhood Meeting: If you are ready to move forward with scheduling a Neighborhood Meeting, please fill out this online registration form and City staff will respond as soon as possible. If you have any questions regarding neighborhood meetings or programs in general, please contact the Neighborhood Programs Coordinator.
