Tapestry Artists of Puget Sound: Telling Their Stories

January 23 - April 9, 2025

Tapestry Arts of Puget Sound

Family by Cecilia Blomberg

Tapestry Artists of Puget Sound (TAPS) was founded in 1990 for the exchange of techniques, philosophy and inspiration within the world of tapestry. The group provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and an opportunity for critical review through discussion, exhibition and publication. Each artist has developed and refined a body of work that expresses a unique vision and commitment to the art form.

This diverse group of artists shared their artwork and the ideas that inspired them. Each artist had a unique approach whether it was a technique, material or concept and brings them together in the medium of handwoven tapestry.

Artists:

Marion Bennet, Cecilia Blomberg, Joyce Hayes, Suzanne Hubbard, Mary Lane, Margo Macdonald, Katia Paroczi, Liz Pulos, Ellen Ramsey, and Julia Rapinoe.

Artist Q&A

Before the opening reception for Tapestry Artists of Puget Sound: Telling Their Stories, artists featured in the exhibition held an artist Q&A on January 23, 2025 at 4:00 PM.  It was a great chance to ask the artists questions about their work, as well as having had the opportunity to see their art displayed in our gallery.
