Claude DaCorsi began his second term on the Auburn City Council
in January 2018. In 2015, he retired as the Director of Capital Construction
for the King County Housing Authority. He was the former Director of
Construction and Development for the Grant County Housing Authority. He has
over 45 years of experience in construction management, contract administration,
and senior and executive management.
DaCorsi has a Master's Degree in Public Administration (MPA)
with a specialization in government from Seattle University and a Bachelor's
Degree in Business Management magna cum laude from Northwest University.
DaCorsi is the Past President of the Sons of Italy Nuova Piccola
Italia Lodge #1967, a member of the Auburn Sons of Italy Lodge #1955, and a
member of the Auburn Noon Lions.
DaCorsi published his book about his great-grandfather’s 1898
immigration to America from Italy and his great-grandfather’s life in the
United States. The book, “Alba Nuova – The Story of a Nineteenth Century
Italian Immigrant,” is about family history, Italian culture and customs, and
traditions passed down through the generations.
DaCorsi serves on the King County Affordable Housing Committee, The
Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management Policy Board, the National
League of Cities Community and Economic Development Committee, and the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA)
Board of Governance. He also served a four-year term on the Governor’s
Affordable Housing Advisory Board.
DaCorsi has been a resident in Auburn for 14 years. He is
married to his wife Mary, and has three grown children, thirteen grandchildren,
and one great-grandchild.
